Assessing the ecosystem conditions in Hungary

An ecosystem assessment for the entire Hungary has been produced as a series of fine resolution maps. Two researchers from ELTE, Ákos Bede-Fazekas, senior lecturer at our department and Tibor Standovár, head of the Department of Plant Systematics, Ecology and Theoretical Biology, participated in the research led by ecologists. The paper, published in the Q1-ranked One Ecosystem, is available here. It describes the challenges of the national-scale analysis and the solutions applied.
