Calibration of soil moisture sensor – new publication

Real-time monitoring of soil moisture available on agricultural land is essential for sustainable water management. In a cross-university collaboration, researchers from Széchenyi István University, ELTE, University of Novi Sad, BME and MATE have calibrated an automated, low-cost soil moisture sensor. The research was led by István Mihály Kulmány, with the participation of Ákos Bede-Fazekas, senior lecturer at our department. The results, which can be read here, have been published in the Q1-ranked Journal of Hydrology and Hydromechanics.
